Description: Single basepair substitution mutant isolated from EMS-mutagenized Arabidopsis Col-gl1 ecotype, using the chlorophyll accumulation assay (Burke et al. Plant Physiol. 123, 575-588, 2000). The mutant was backcrossed to Col-gl wild type at least three times before genetic and physiological characterization. The recessive nature of the mutation was evaluated using F1 seedlings from a backcross, whereas the segregation ratios of mutant phenotype were assessed using F2 seedlings.
